Mandy is driven to help career minded stylists live their best life through continuing education and mentoring. Her 18 years as a hair stylist include 16 years as a Redken Educator and 10 years as an owner of one of the top salons in Seattle, Washington. ​

Mandy is driven to help career minded stylists live their best life through continuing education and mentoring. Her 18 years as a hair stylist include 16 years as a Redken Educator and 10 years as an owner of one of the top salons in Seattle Washington. ​

​Growing a career in the hair industry can no longer focus solely on techniques, Mandy believes that well rounded education needs to include business, social media, and growth strategies in addition to understanding design, color and finishing. A foundation of techniques makes a good stylist, learning how to take those ideas and share them to grow a business makes a great stylist. ​

​As a facilitator at the Redken Exchange for Cut and Know Why and as a salon owner Mandy understands the needs of stylists at every level of their career.  In the field she specializes in design, color and finishing education. She was one of the original Balayage Authority trainers and Balayage Certification facilitators. Her works has been published in local and national industry publications. ​

​Based on her experience Mandy thrives on building education programs that feed each attendee exactly what they need at every level. She works with salon owners to develop programs for their staff based on their growth goals as a team. On stage Mandy’s goal is to inspire each person inclusively. Engaging with stylists to make them feel inspired and empowered to create an incredible career. ​

Learn the principles of design  and understand how to create a shape for the client that began as an idea. Become  empowered to analyze, understand and recreate with the Principles of point, line and angle. Principles of Movement, Elevation, Over-Direction and Finger Angle. Learn to break the head form down horizontally into the 5 areas of the head, what they do and how to view them on the head. Principles of Graduation and the three different types - Swelling, Straight and Scooping.
