Tracey Cunningham, the renowned colorist and tastemaker, is the definition of creativity partnered with hard work and authenticity. Cunningham has reigned supreme within the beauty market, state side and globally for over two decades. She is an internet icon with her Instagram fans and devotees looking to her for color formulas, style and beauty tips, which Cunningham enthusiastically shares. Cunningham is an artist, an innovative hair color enthusiast, an entrepreneur and serves as Redken’s Celebrity Colorist.
Cunningham was born and raised in Seattle, WA and came to Los Angeles at young age where she began working with Bette Midler as her daughter’s nanny. Midler quickly saw Cunningham’s raw talent with hair and suggested that Cunningham go to beauty school and, as they say, the rest is history. Cunningham’s ability to create the “best blow out in town” was the first of her many accolades. She soon became the most sought-after colorist in Hollywood, adopting and executing color expertly and effortlessly. Cunningham made a name for herself during her tenure with Art Luna Salon and soon thereafter, the John Frieda Salon. In 2012, Cunningham opened Meche salon with business partner Neil Weisberg on Burton Way, in Beverly Hills.
Cunningham has held a long-standing relationship with the professional haircare and haircolor brand, Redken as their Celebrity Colorist. With Redken, Cunningham travels the world representing the historical brand with seasonal ideas, trends, aligning on Redken’s latest and greatest innovative launches and more.
With each of her clients, Cunningham combines professionalism and artistry with natural raw talent and trend forecasting. Cunningham’s celebrity client list includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Charlize Theron, JLo, Emma Stone, Jessica Biel and Drew Barrymore, Khloe Kardashian, Amy Poehler and Sarah Paulson, to name a few.
